CHAR MAN BRAND CARIBBEAN
Bright pineapple up front with a quick medium heat to follow. The first bite lingers with a faint onion and garlic flavor. A second sample brings the chili flavor on nicely. Fruit flavor builds with each bite, masking the heat for long enough to get a nice taste of the mango, but this quickly gives way to the heat, which intensifies as it lingers.
Breakdown: A real treat with heat that sneaks up on you. Multiple bites must be had in order to achieve full flavor profile. The first taste ranks a 4 on the heat scale, but a few bites later, it builds to a solid 6. Fantastic fruit puree sauce that is thick and absolutely great on pork.

CHAR MAN BRAND ORIGINAL
As this hot sauce is poured from the bottle, I’m immediately hit with a sweet and vinegar smell followed by a pungent aroma of roasted peppers. A sample hits hard with a variety of chilies and the same vinegar linger: tangy, but not overpowering. I can really notice the roasted chilies, which taste fresh out of the fire. A few more tastes leave me with a salty sweet flavor and a decent brightness from the lingering lemon juice. This nicely combats the heat from the chilies, begging for another spoonful. I’d recommend this on any food needing a healthy kick with a natural flavor.
Breakdown: Heavy roasted chili flavor and a tangy sweet finish from the lemon and vinegar. Fantastic on pasta and chili, but try it on anything.

CHAR MAN BRAND VERDE
This is my first bottle from Char Man Brand. I love the packaging with the charred look of the labels. The stories of the legends on the back are a nice touch as well. This one smells great right out of the bottle. It’s very sweet, fresh and green smelling with a tang from the vinegar that hits you in the back of the mouth. The flavor is also very sweet without seeming unnatural. The onion and garlic are used in an excellent combination. The bright citrusy flavor pairs well with the chilies, giving the whole sauce a fresh and clean flavor. It has a salsa-like consistency, which makes it easy to use for dipping as well as pouring. The linger is a bit tangy with a mild heat. Great overall sauce.
Breakdown: Really good Verde. Tolerable heat for beginner chili heads. Great packaging, nice flavor, easy sauce for everything. Goes great with pasta!
